Now, according to leaked reports, the company might launch the Redmi Note 17 in the Indian market next month. Leaks suggest that its specifications will be identical to those of the Chinese version. A tipster has now shared details regarding the upcoming smartphone’s price, indicating that it will be a mid-range phone from Xiaomi’s sub-brand.

On the social media platform X, tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) shared details about the Indian version of the recently launched Redmi Note 17. The tipster claims that the base variant of the Redmi Note 17 in India could be priced above ₹30,000. At this price point, it is expected to offer 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage. He also claims that the phone will come with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3, based on Android 16.

According to reports, Xiaomi’s sub-brand will offer 4 years of OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates for the Redmi Note 17 in India, starting next month (August). The smartphone may also feature LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 internal storage. However, since the tech company has not yet confirmed these details, the leaked reports should not be taken as absolute fact.

One report claims that the Redmi Note 17 will launch in India on August 6. The report further states that the handset will be available for sale in the country starting August 11. In the Chinese market, the Redmi Note 17 5G was launched running Xiaomi HyperOS 3, based on Android 16. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 octa-core processor, built on 4-nanometer fabrication technology. In China, it is available for sale in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants.

For power backup, the Redmi Note 17 5G is equipped with an 8,000mAh battery and a 1,600-charge-cycle guarantee. Additionally, the phone supports 45W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging technology.
