The salary of a government job is not limited to just the basic salary. Still, it includes many allowances like DA, i.e. dearness allowance, HRA, i.e. house rent allowance and TA, travel allowance.
The dearness allowance is reviewed by the government every six months.
This review is based on the inflation data. It is believed that a big announcement can be made before August 15, 2025.
It is expected that dearness allowance can increase by 3 to 4 per cent.
However, no information has been officially shared about how much percentage will be increased in dearness allowance.
The fitment factor in the 7th Pay Commission was 2.57. According to reports, the 8th Pay Commission indicates a range of 1.83 to 2.46.
Whenever the government announces an increase in DA, it will take effect from 1st July only.
