Released in theatres on August 7, 2026, amid very little discussion, the film had such a slow start in the first few days that it seemed that its shows would soon be reduced. But after this, the discussion about the film increased among the audience, and the story changed completely.
Made with a budget of just Rs 2 crore, ‘Hanuman Ansh’ has made a great comeback at the box office. The film gained tremendous momentum in its fourth week and earned Rs 8.50 crore India net on the 26th day itself. According to Sacnilk data, the total India net collection of the film is now Rs 54.13 crore, while the India gross collection has reached Rs 63.82 crore.
The beginning was very slow, then the whole story changed
‘Hanuman Ansh’ hit the theatres on August 7. The opening of the film was only around Rs 10 lakh. Even in the first week, its earnings reached only about Rs 1.08 crore. By the second week, the film’s performance remained so weak that its shows started getting reduced in many places.
But from the third week, the story suddenly took a turn. The film benefited from word of mouth, and footfall in theatres started increasing. In the fourth week, the film’s earnings took such a leap that even trade reports are counting it as the surprise box office success of the year.
Earnings of Rs 8.50 crore on 26th day
‘Hanuman Ansh’ earned Rs 8.50 crore net in 7,008 shows on its 26th day i.e. 1st September. The total India net earnings of the film have reached Rs 54.13 crore. Whereas India’s gross collection is said to be Rs 63.82 crore.
Interestingly, on the 26th day the film’s earnings were about 54.5 per cent more than the previous day. On the 25th day, the film had earned Rs 5.50 crore net. After this, the collection increased to Rs 8.50 crore on Tuesday.
The fourth week’s earnings of the film were also very special. Net earnings were Rs 6.25 crore on the 22nd day, Rs 9.25 crore on the 23rd day, Rs 12.75 crore on the 24th day, Rs 5.50 crore on the 25th day and Rs 8.50 crore on the 26th day. That means in just these five days the film collected around Rs 42.25 crore.
Shobhinav Satya shared a special video
Actor Shobhinav Satya, who plays the role of Neem Karoli Baba in the film, is also very happy with the love the film is getting from the audience. He shared a video on social media on September 2, in which he was seen with the film’s team.
The film’s music composer Sadhu Tiwari, Shobhinav Satya, Purnima Tiwari and Sunny Sadhwani are seen together in the video. During the conversation, the support and love that the film is getting from the audience was mentioned.
In the video, the team is also seen singing the film’s popular song ‘Jab Zid Par Aa Gayee Parvati’. After the song ends, the entire team chants ‘Har-Har Mahadev’ and ‘Sita Ram’. This clearly shows that the success of the film has made the entire team emotional and excited.
The audience’s love became the biggest support for ‘Hanuman Ansh’
The most special thing about the film is its box office trend. Usually, the earnings of a film are highest in the first week and then gradually decrease. But the case of ‘Hanuman Ansh’ appeared to be completely opposite. While the film could collect only about Rs 1.48 crore in the first two weeks, its earnings increased rapidly in the third and especially the fourth week.
This is the reason why the film is now being seen as a surprise box office hit. Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar also praised ‘Hanuman Ansh’ and called it an important example for the Indian film industry.
Did ‘Hanuman Ansh’ really earn 60 crores?
Here’s an important fact check. In many places, the film’s earnings are said to be Rs 60 crore, but according to Sacnilk data available till September 2, 2026, the India gross collection of the film is ₹ 63.82 crore, while the India net collection is ₹ 54.13 crore. Therefore, saying ‘earnings of Rs. 60 crores’ is correct in the context of gross collection, but saying net earnings of Rs. 60 crores would not be correct.
Why did ‘Hanuman Ansh’ become a surprise hit at the box office?
The biggest reason behind the success of the film is considered to be the positive response of the audience and word of mouth. Despite getting fewer screens and less shows in the beginning, the film gradually attracted the audience. Despite a low budget, no big star and a weak opening, the film’s consistently good performance shows that if the story of a film connects with the audience, it can stay in theatres for a long time.
