LPG e-KYC Update: Good news for LPG customers. The deadline for LPG e-KYC has been extended to August 23, 2026. Previously, the deadline was set for August 16. This offers a final opportunity for consumers who have not yet completed their e-KYC. Customers are advised to get their e-KYC updated as soon as possible.
While there is no immediate need to worry about your gas connection being disconnected, the extended deadline is not a reason to be complacent. Complete the e-KYC process promptly to avoid issues with future gas bookings.
By when can you complete the LPG gas cylinder e-KYC?
LPG companies have been urging customers to complete their e-KYC for some time. Although the deadline was set for August 16, 2026, some people were unable to complete the process due to the Independence Day holidays and the weekend. Consequently, the deadline has been extended to August 23. If you have not yet completed Aadhaar verification, please do so immediately.
Will the gas connection be disconnected?
Many people wonder if failing to complete e-KYC will result in their gas connection being cut off. That is not the case. However, if you do not complete e-KYC, you will not receive the cylinder at the subsidised domestic rate; you may have to pay an additional fee, making the gas cylinder more expensive.
How to complete e-KYC?
You can complete the e-KYC process from the comfort of your home without having to stand in long queues.
If you are an Indane customer, visit the ‘Indane Oil One’ app, where you will find the Aadhaar-based face authentication facility.
Similarly, Bharatgas customers can complete their e-KYC via the ‘Hello BPCL’ app, and HP Gas customers can use the ‘HP Pay’ app.
Who needs to complete e-KYC?
Not all LPG gas connection customers are required to complete e-KYC.
Those who have already completed e-KYC do not need to do it again.
You can check your e-KYC status via the app.
