New Delhi: A fierce war has broken out between Pakistan and Afghanistan, with both sides carrying out major attacks. On Friday night, the Pakistani army carried out ambushes and airstrikes in the Afghan capital, Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia. The Taliban launched a large-scale offensive that night.
This operation included attacks on several Pakistani border posts. Furthermore, Afghanistan shot down Pakistani fighter jets. Pakistan, calling it a planned attack, has warned of immediate action.
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari stated that he will not compromise on the unity and peace of his country’s region. Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid has warned of atrong retaliation.

Afghan Defence Ministry reports
The Afghan Defence Ministry stated that on the intervening night of February 26, Pakistani forces carried out attacks in Afghan territory that killed women and children. According to the Afghan Ministry, Afghan forces retaliated by pushing back Pakistani troops in Paktika, Paktia, Khost, Nangarhar, Kunar, and Nuristan provinces.
In this fighting, two military bases and 19 posts were captured, and Pakistani troops were driven out of four posts. The ongoing war between the two countries is also raising concerns among the global community. So far, no middle ground appears to be found between the two countries.
