Physical Test Rules Simplified
The Jharkhand government has simplified the Physical Efficiency Test for candidates.
- Male candidates will now be required to complete a 1600-meter run in 6 minutes (previously 10kilometress).
- Female candidates will be required to complete a 1600-meter run in 10 minutes (previously 6 kilometres).
- This change was approved in the March 2025 cabinet meeting. This decision will prove to be a major relief for candidates.

Height Standards
- Male Candidates: Unreserved, EWS, OBC: Minimum height 160 cm, chest 81 cm.

JSSC Assistant Jailor Vacancy 2025 Also Released
The Commission has also announced recruitment for 42 Jharkhand Assistant Jailor posts. The application dates are the same: November 7 to December 8, 2025. Selection will be based on a written examination, physical efficiency test, and medical test. Selected candidates will receive a Level-5 pay scale (₹29, 200 – ₹92, 300).
