New Delhi: A major railway accident has occurred in Chhattisgarh, causing widespread panic. A MEMU passenger train collided with a freight train in Bilaspur, killing six passengers and injuring more than a dozen. Immediately after the accident, the railway launched a rescue operation, with many of the injured being taken to hospitals for treatment.
Railway officials stated that the General Manager of South East Central Railway, Tarun Prakash, has arrived at the scene, accompanied by the Divisional Railway Manager. The exact cause of the accident has not been determined.
