Severe fire in Prayagraj’s Magh,Rs 1 lakh cash in two tents reduced to ashes

New Delhi: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from the Prayagraj Magh Mela. A massive fire broke out in Sector 5 of the fair,reducing tents to ashes. The fire erupted suddenly on Tuesday evening. Panic spread among the people as the flames quickly engulfed the area. Cash worth ₹2 lakh kept in two tents was also destroyed in the fire. All household belongings,including the cash,were lost.

Bharat Shankar Shukla,a resident of Garapur Tharwai,had set up a camp in Sector 5,Kali Marg,under the name of Ram Naam and Manas Prachar Sangh,at Namayan Shukla Dham. On Tuesday evening,Bharat Shankar Shukla was sitting outside the camp warming himself by a fire with other people. His wife,Santosh Shukla,58,was inside the tent.
