What are the necessary qualifications?

To apply for this recruitment, candidates must have passed 10th grade from a recognised board. Additionally, if the candidate holds an ITI or NAC certificate, it can be beneficial in technical departments. The minimum educational qualification for this recruitment is a 10th pass.

What is the age limit?

For Railway Group D recruitment, the minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum is 33 years. Reserved-category candidates will also receive age relaxation in accordance with government rules. OBC candidates will receive a 3-year age relaxation on the maximum age limit, while SC and ST candidates will receive a 5-year age relaxation.

Salary Details

Candidates selected in Group D, Level-1, will receive a basic salary of Rs. 18,000 per month as per the 7th Pay Commission. In addition, dearness allowance, house rent allowance, and other railway allowances will also be provided.

How will the selection be made? Candidates must take a computer-based test. Successful candidates will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This stage will assess the candidate’s physical fitness. Candidates who pass the PET will have their documents verified, followed by a medical test. Only candidates who successfully clear all stages will be selected.

General and OBC category candidates must pay a fee of Rs. 500 to apply. However, if the candidate appears for the CBT exam, Rs. 400 will be refunded. For SC, ST, female, and PwD candidates, the application fee is Rs. 250.
