Gold Price: Gold and silver prices are currently witnessing a continuous upward trend. On the previous trading day, gold closed at ₹162,186 per 10 grams. According to the Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), by Wednesday evening, the price of gold was recorded at ₹160,977 per 10 grams. Around 10:20 AM, the price of 1 kg of silver on the MCX was recorded at ₹298,500. This represents a decline of ₹1,738 per kg. Conversely, gold prices are showing an upward trend, with gold surging by ₹638 per 10 grams. The trend of rising rates continues following the increase in customs duty on gold and silver.
On the MCX, silver for July 3rd delivery closed at ₹300,238 per kg in the previous session; however, today—May 14th—it opened at ₹298,373, after which prices declined further. In early trading, it slipped to ₹294,450.00, down ₹5,788. By 10:00 AM, it was trading at ₹298,000, down by ₹2,238. Gold for June 5th delivery fell by ₹1,159 in early trading hours; however, it is currently trading at ₹162,758 per 10 grams.

At 10:24 AM, the price of 24-carat gold on the MCX stood at ₹162,758 per 10 grams. This marks an increase of ₹572 per 10 grams. So far today, gold has recorded a low of ₹161,027 per 10 grams and a high of ₹163,055 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, at 10:40 AM, gold for June 5 delivery on the MCX is holding steady at ₹1,62,805 per 10 grams, while the price of silver for July 3 delivery has been recorded at ₹2,97,992.
