Weather Update: The weather is changing rapidly across the country. Most states in the country are experiencing a severe heatwave. Nineteen states and union territories, including the eastern and southern Indian state of Kerala, are experiencing severe heat waves. According to the Meteorological Department, these states are not going to get relief from the heat for two to four days.
At the same time, heavy rains have been predicted in the northeastern states. Apart from this, more than a thousand tourists, along with hundreds of vehicles, are stranded in various places due to landslides that occurred after torrential rains in Sikkim. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain and strong winds are also expected to blow at many locations.

The period of severe heat in the Delhi NCR region is expected to continue. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding a heat wave. It has become increasingly difficult for people in Delhi to leave their homes during the day.
Weather conditions in UP-Bihar
There is a possibility of lightning with light thunder in areas such as Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. As a result, waterlogging is evident. At the same time, a heat wave will be observed in western Uttar Pradesh, including areas such as Agra and Meerut. In Bihar, an alert has been issued for light rain with the possibility of lightning in regions such as Gaya, Patna, and Bhagalpur.

The period of severe heat and strong thunderstorms in Rajasthan begins today, i.e., 26 April. A tremendous heat wave alert has been issued in the state for the next five days. At the same time, due to a strong western disturbance, a warning of light rain with strong thunderstorms has also been issued in many areas here today. Today, intense thunderstorms and light rain are expected in some parts of Jaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur and Kota divisions in the afternoon.

According to the IMD, in the next 24 hours, all states in North-West India may experience rain along with dust storms. The IMD has issued an alert regarding rain with thunderstorms in the Delhi-NCR region, as well as western Uttar Pradesh, including Agra, Hathras, Aligarh, Jhansi, Mahoba, Prayagraj and Varanasi, from Saturday, April 26.
According to the IMD, a western disturbance has become active at the middle troposphere level. On Saturday, a warning was also issued regarding rain with thunderstorms in the west Himalayan region, including Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department estimates that winds can also blow at a speed of 50 km per hour and there is also a fear of lightning at some places.
