Monsoon Update – Darkness Falls, Heavy Rainfall Expected in 9 States

Monsoon Alert: Most parts of North India are now in the grip of severe cold, leaving people shivering. The bone-chilling cold has slowed the pace of life. Snowfall in the mountains has also triggered avalanches. Many roads have been closed due to the snowfall, and efforts are underway to restore traffic with the help of GCBs.

The weather has once again deteriorated in many states across the country. Clouds have settled over parts of Uttar Pradesh. Dense fog enveloped western Uttar Pradesh and Delhi NCR in the early morning. Cold winds and fog also covered many parts of Haryana and Punjab.

Heavy Rain Warning in These 9 States

According to the IMD, a heavy rain warning has once again been issued for 5 states across the country. Strong winds are also expected here. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert for Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. Heavy rain is also expected in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.

According to the Meteorological Department’s report, heavy rain accompanied by lightning and winds of up to 50kilometress per hour is expected in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on February 3rd. A heavy rain alert has been issued for Uttar Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan, northern Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu on February 3rd. Fishermen have been advised to stay away from the seashore.

Cold wave alert in 23 districts

The IMD has issued a cold wave alert for 23 districts in North India. A cold wave is expected in Ayodhya, Bijnor, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddha Nagar in Uttar Pradesh.

Cold winds are also expected in Gurugram, Hisar, Sonipat, Kurukshetra, and Panipat in Haryana in the morning. A cold wave warning has also been issued for Amritsar, Patiala, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Bathinda, and Ludhiana in Punjab.

Delhi Weather

According to the Meteorological Department, a change in the weather is expected on February 3rd. Light to moderate rain is expected tomorrow morning. This rain may cause a drop in temperatures. The maximum temperature in Delhi tomorrow is expected to be 21 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be 9 degrees Celsius.

Know the Weather in Uttar Pradesh

The IMD has predicted a drop in temperatures in Jhansi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Mau, Pratapgarh, and Ballia. Fog is likely in Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Agra, Mathura, and Aligarh.
