Monsoon Forecast: The weather in the country is about to change once again. According to the latest report from the India Meteorological Department, light to moderate snowfall is expected in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh between February 9th and 11th. The India Meteorological Department posted on X (formerly Twitter) that due to the influence of a Western Disturbance, scattered to widespread rain/snowfall is expected in the Western Himalayan region from February 9th to 11th.

Apart from this, no significant weather activity is expected in the rest of the country during the next 7 days. The Meteorological Department estimates that light to moderate rainfall may be recorded in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand between February 9th and 11th. The weather in Arunachal Pradesh may change again. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert that heavy rainfall is expected in many parts of Arunachal Pradesh over the next 4 days. Strong winds are also expected in many places during this period.

Rainfall Warning in these states
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rainfall in several states of the country. The Meteorological Department has issued a rainfall alert for Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Puducherry, Rayalaseema, Karaikal, Mahe, Lakshadweep, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the next 4 days. The Meteorological Department predicts heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand, some parts of Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh over the next four days.

West Bengal Weather Update
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in some parts of West Bengal may be below normal for the next three days. The department also predicts dry weather across the state over the next 7 days. Additionally, light to moderate fog is expected in most sub-Himalayan districts during the morning hours. According to the Meteorological Department, minimum temperatures were recorded below normal in several parts of the state during the last 24 hours.
