New Delhi: The situation in the Middle East remains alarming due to continuously escalating tensions. In retaliation for U.S. and Israeli attacks, Iran is firing a barrage of missiles, keeping the situation volatile. The U.S. had previously carried out an attack in which Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed.
At that time, Iran also lost a prominent leader—Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib—who was killed in an attack. Additionally, several military officers lost their lives. Now, in the latest attack on Iran, Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini—the chief spokesperson for the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps)—has been killed. Iran’s state-run media outlet, ‘Press TV,’ confirmed on Friday that IRGC spokesperson Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini had been killed.
Death of Iran’s Intelligence Minister
In a post on the social media platform X, the IDF stated that Esmail Khatib—who served as the Intelligence Minister for the Iranian terrorist regime—was killed in a targeted strike in Tehran. Khatib had played a pivotal role during the recent nationwide protests across Iran; this included overseeing the arrest and killing of protesters.
Furthermore, he spearheaded terrorist activities against Israelis and Americans across the globe. Similarly, he acted against Iranian citizens during the Mahsa Amini protests.
The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence possesses advanced intelligence capabilities, overseeing surveillance, espionage, and the execution of covert operations worldwide—particularly those directed against Israeli and Iranian citizens.
Iran Makes a Major Claim
Amidst the U.S. and Israeli attacks, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, made a significant claim during an interview earlier this week, asserting that his country’s political structure remains robust. He stated that the Iranian leadership would not suffer a fatal blow following the confirmed death of Ali Larijani.
A conflict has been ongoing between the United States, Israel, and Iran for the past several days. At present, no middle ground appears to be emerging. Iran, too, remains steadfast in its objectives.
