Monsoon Alert: From Kanyakumari to Jammu and Kashmir, monsoon rains are being witnessed these days. The rain has put a brake on the pace of life, due to which flood-like conditions have also been created at many places. Not only this, rivers, drains and ponds are all overflowing. It has been raining continuously in Delhi NCR since late at night.

The temperature has dropped due to the rain, and people have felt relief from the heat. Traffic is also being disrupted due to waterlogging in Ghaziabad and Noida. Heavy rain is still occurring at many places in Moradabad, Amroha and Bijnor of western UP. Rain has also made the situation frightening in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Thunderstorms and lightning are a problem. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rains with thunderstorms in various parts of the country.

Heavy rain warning in these states

If IMD is to be believed, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many areas of West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh. Apart from these, a heavy rain alert has been issued at many places in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir. Along with this, rain is also expected in South Indian states like Kerala, Andhra Pradesh.

Light to moderate rain with light thunder and lightning is expected in Delhi NCR (Bahadurgarh, Manesar). Apart from this, heavy rain can be seen in Loni Dehat, Hindon Air Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Greater Noida and Gurugram, and Faridabad. Light to moderate rain may continue in the entire Delhi-NCR, including Ballabhgarh.

Heavy rain warning for seven days in these states

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in the northeastern states for the next 7 days. IMD has predicted heavy rain in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and  Meghalaya on August 3. Torrential rain warning has also been issued in Arunachal Pradesh and North Bihar. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Tamil Nadu and Kerala during the next 6-7 days. Ghat areas of Kerala and Tamil Nadu may receive heavy rains on August 5. Central India may receive light to moderate rains for 7 days.
