Some shops were washed away in this incident. The district administration had shifted the people nearby to safe places at night itself. Two people are reported to be missing, whose search is going on.

The rescue operation is going on at a fast pace by SDRF, NDRF and the Public Works Department with JCB and other equipment. The district administration is seen in alert mode in view of the disaster.
