The Assembly’s term ends on November 22, 2025. The Election Commission stated in a press conference that it has completed seven special intensive revisions in Bihar. For this, the Election Commission expressed its gratitude to all the BLOs engaged in the SIR. The new initiatives launched through the SIR in the Bihar Assembly elections will be implemented across the country.

Election Commission Provides Important Information

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar shared important information regarding the Bihar Assembly elections. He stated that when BLOs approach voters, voters will be able to identify them clearly. ID cards have also been introduced for this purpose. He also stated that the facility to vote by depositing a mobile phone outside the polling booth will also be provided.

Previously, mobile phones had to be left at home or elsewhere. But now this will no longer be necessary. You can deposit your mobile phone at the polling booth. The Chief Election Commissioner stated that starting with the Bihar elections, no polling booth in the country will have more than 1,200 voters.

This step has been taken to reduce crowding at polling stations. A one-stop digital platform will also be implemented in Bihar. Candidates can deploy their agents within 100 meters of the booth.

100% webcasting will also be implemented

Now, 100% webcasting will be done at every polling booth. Previously, webcasting was done at a minimum of 50 to 60 per cent of the booths. The ballot papers on EVMs were black and white, which caused identification problems.

The Election Commission has announced that starting with the Bihar elections, the serial number font and colour photographs of candidates will be added. For your information, elections are scheduled for all 243 assembly seats in Bihar, and the Election Commission is showing considerable activity regarding these matters.
