AI Summit Begins, Over 40 Tech Company CEOs to Attend

New Delhi: The India-AI Impact Summit kicked off on Monday, the first day of the business week, in the national capital, Delhi. This AI summit will be held for five days, until February 20, 2026. CEOs from more than 40 global tech companies, as well as heads of 20 countries, are participating in the event. These include Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Sam Altman of OpenAI, and Dario Amodei of Anthropic.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi may also participate in this event someday, and is expected to meet with CEOs of 30 to 40 companies. Investments worth $100 billion are also being anticipated in India. This could boost employment opportunities and the Indian economy.
Key Points to Know About the AI Summit
Sundar Pichai is a prominent figure in the world. He is also the CEO of Alphabet, the parent company of the American tech giant Google. It is considered the world’s third-largest company by market cap. Pichai was born on July 12, 1972, in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu.
After completing his B.Tech from IIT Kharagpur, he pursued further studies at Stanford University in the United States. Pichai began as a materials engineer and joined Google as a management executive in 2004. He subsequently became Google’s CEO in 2015 and took over Alphabet in 2019.
Who is Jay Puri?
Did you know that Jay Puri is the Executive Vice President at Nvidia, the world’s most valuable company? He manages the company’s overseas sales, business development, partner alliances, solution architecture and engineering, program management, and support services organisations.
Puri, who spent 22 years at Sun Microsystems, joined Nvidia in 2005. He earned a BSE from the University of Minnesota and an MSc from the California Institute of Technology, followed by an MBA from Harvard Business School.

He began his career in finance at Fidelity Investments and T-Mobile. He then rose to prominence as Chief Marketing Officer at Google. He was later promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Business Officer. In 2018, he was appointed CEO of Palo Alto Networks.
Who is Shantanu Narayan?
Narayen, Chairman and CEO of Adobe, began his career with Apple. He also held important positions at the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. He has been honoured with the Padma Shri. He was born in Hyderabad in 1963.
Shantanu earned a bachelor’s degree in electronics and engineering from Osmania University, an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in computer science from Bowling Green State University. Shantanu joined Adobe in 1998 as a senior vice president. He became its CEO in 2005.
