How many players were selected under the Utkarsh Scheme?

The Bihar government has also selected athletes through the Utkarsh Scheme. 18 outstanding athletes have been selected under this scheme. They will be provided scholarships of up to 20 lakh rupees. All these players will become financially empowered and will have the opportunity to further hone their talents.

How many players will benefit from this scheme?

Like the Bihar government’s Saksham scheme, 129 players will be provided with scholarships of up to ₹5 lakh each year. This amount will be very helpful in their training and preparation. The youth will be able to further hone their skills.

Highest Selections in Prerna Scheme

The Prerna Scheme has also proven to be very helpful for players. Under this scheme, 367 players from the state have been selected. Of these, 269 players were selected through the torch competition, while 98 players were selected through online applications. The selected players will receive a scholarship of ₹3 lakh annually. This amount can be spent on sports equipment, training, and diet.

Bihar Sports Authority Director General Ravindran Shankaran stated that the scheme, launched a year ago, has yielded positive results. This will promote sports.
