Ration Card Update: Millions of people across the country benefit from government ration schemes. Under these schemes, eligible individuals receive rations at fair prices through designated ration shops. However, people often face issues such as not receiving their rations on time, receiving less than the prescribed quantity, or encountering other ration-related problems. In such situations, individuals might otherwise have to make repeated visits to government offices to file a complaint.
The Department of Food and Public Distribution has shared information on the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) to raise awareness. Citizens can use the ‘Anna Sahayata’ (Food Assistance) service to lodge complaints about ration card-related issues. This service allows users to file complaints via WhatsApp messages or phone calls, enabling them to seek resolutions from the comfort of their homes.
