Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra: Xiaomi is ready to host a grand launch event in China on May 22 when it will unveil new hardware technology. Among the most awaited releases are the Xiaomi 15S Pro and Pad 7 Ultra, both of which run on the company’s newly built Xring O1 chip. This is a significant change for Xiaomi as it enters the next generation of performance with its first 3nm processor.
Xiaomi 15S Pro with Xring O1 Chip
Xiaomi 15S Pro will be the company’s first smartphone with the new Xring O1 chip. It should maintain the overall look of the 15 Pro, such as a 6.73-inch 2K quad-curve screen with LTPO 120Hz refresh rate. The device will also feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader.
Battery and charging features may include a large 6100mAh unit along with support for 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. On the imaging front, users can expect a Leica-branded triple camera setup with 50MP sensors and a 10x periscope zoom lens. Additionally, the device will offer UWB support for seamless connection with Xiaomi’s SU7/YU7 car models.
Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra with Xring O1 Processor
Xiaomi will also release the Pad 7 Ultra flagship tablet during the conference. The device will feature a humongous 14-inch OLED screen with extremely thin bezels and a notch that may facilitate high-end 3D facial recognition. It is also fueled by the new Xring O1 chip and will have ultra-fast 120W charging.
The Pad 7 Ultra is focused as a premium productivity and entertainment product, demonstrating the company’s growing interest in the high-end tablet market.
Xring O1 Chip Enters Mass Production
As CEO Lei Jun has stated, the Xring O1 chip is in mass production and features TSMC’s 3nm process. This is a milestone because few chips in the smartphone space have reached this technology level. Xiaomi has been said to have spent more than ¥13 billion (around $1.8 billion) on creating the chip.
