Design and Build Quality
The design of Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is quite premium. It has a micro-curved OLED display, glass back and sleek body. Its camera module also looks very classy. Talking about the color option, this phone comes in unique colors like Black, Cherry Blossom Pink, Iced Americano, Nebula Purple and White.
On the other hand, Lava Shark 5G looks exactly like iPhone 16. Coming in Stellar Gold and Blue color variants, this phone comes with a glossy back panel and a large camera hump. Its build looks solid despite being a budget phone.

The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro has a 6.55-inch 1.5K OLED display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 3,200 nits brightness and Dolby Vision. This screen not only looks beautiful but also gives a great viewing experience.
The Lava Shark 5G has a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display that supports 90Hz refresh rate. Although this display is basic compared to Xiaomi, it performs very well in this price range.

The camera segment of the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is special because it supports the Leica brand. It has a 50MP Light Fusion 800 primary sensor, 50MP telephoto camera and 12MP ultra-wide camera. There is also a 50MP autofocus selfie camera on the front, which is perfect for vloggers and selfie lovers.

The Lava Shark 5G gets a 6nm Unisoc T765 chipset, which has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This phone also comes with Android 15, which makes it ready for the latest updates. The performance is basic, but enough for normal use.
Battery and Charging
The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro has a 4,700mAh battery, which supports fast charging. However, the charging speed details have not been revealed much.
The Lava Shark 5G has a 5,000mAh battery and a 10W charger is available in the box, while this phone supports 18W fast charging. Lava seems to be slightly ahead in terms of battery backup.
Price and Availability
The price of Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro starts at CNY 2,999 (approximately ₹35,700) in China. The price of the top model goes up to ₹ 42,800. It is available for sale on the official website of China.
The Lava Shark 5G is priced at ₹ 7,999 and has gone on sale on Lava’s website and retail stores from May 23. It is available in only one variant.

If you want a smartphone with premium design, great camera and top level performance – and your budget is above ₹ 35,000 – then Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is the best option for you.
