The flagship level race in the smartphone market has now become more interesting than ever. While only a premium model and its pro version were seen earlier, the base variants have become so strong that they are also competing with their pro brothers. The recently launched Xiaomi 17, Vivo X300 and Oppo Find X9 are evidence of this. All three phones are slightly lower in price, but do not look less than a flagship in terms of features. So let’s know which one of these three smartphones is the real flagship king.
Design and display
If it comes to design, all three phones come in almost the same size. The Vivo X300 and Xiaomi 17 have a size of about 6.3 inches, while the Oppo Find X9 is slightly larger and has a 6.59-inch display. All three phones have an IP68 rating, while Vivo and Oppo have gone a step further and added IP69 protection, meaning these phones can also avoid high pressure water jets. However, the common user hardly needs it.

Talking about the display, all three get LTPO AMOLED panel, which comes with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and great color accuracy. Speaking of brightness, the Vivo X300 is at the forefront, giving peak brightness of up to 4500 nits. At the same time, Oppo Find X9 gets 3600 nits and Xiaomi 17 has a brightness of 3500 nits. That is, the screen will appear clear and sharp even in the sun.
Performance
Now let’s talk about the processor, the company has given in Xiaomi 17 Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, while both Vivo X300 and Oppo Find X9 get MediaTek Dimension 9500 processor. Snapdragon goes a little further if seen on paper. The clock speed of its Oryon Cores goes up to 4.6GHz and gets the new Adreno 840 GPU. On the other hand, the Dimensity 9500 also has little power – it is also built on 3nm process technology and has C1 Ultra Cores (4.21GHz).

In simple use, the performance of all three phones seems almost the same, as all have LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Yes, if you do long-term gaming or AI tasks, the Xiaomi 17 may go a little further.
Camera
The thinking of the three companies is slightly different in terms of camera. The Vivo X300 is made for camera-focused users. It features two 50MP cameras (telephoto and ultrawide) with a 200MP Samsung HPB main sensor. Zeiss optics, 3D LUT support and a detachable telephoto extender lens make it the best for professional photography.

At the same time, the Xiaomi 17 gets all three 50MP cameras, tuned with Leica. Its 1/1.31-inch main sensor and 2.6x optical zoom give a fairly sharp result. Also, it also has 8K video recording and Dolby Vision HDR support. The camera setup of the Oppo Find X9 is also great. It has three 50MP sensors and the company has color tuning in association with Hasselblad. Its 3x periscope telephoto lens and large 1/1.4-inch main sensor make it better in low-light photography.
Battery and charging
Now let’s talk about power. Silicon-carbon battery technology has been used in all three phones. The Oppo Find X9 has the largest 7,025mAh battery, while the Xiaomi 17 gets 7,000mAh and the Vivo X300 gets 6,040mAh battery. All three are not far behind in terms of charging speed. Xiaomi offers 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, while Oppo has 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Vivo is also not far behind, it offers 90W fast charging and 40W wireless charging.
