Xiaomi 16 Ultra: Xiaomi 16 Ultra, a smartphone from one of the major manufacturers, has a new camera. The rear camera unit on the company’s 15 Ultra was branded Leica. This smartphone, which debuted in the nation in March of this year, had a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

In a post on the social media site X, tipster Kartikey Singh disclosed that the Xiaomi 16 Ultra may use the SmartSens camera. The Sony LYT-900 camera was featured in the previous iteration of this smartphone. The Pura 80 Ultra from Huawei, which launched earlier this month, features the SC5A0CS camera from SmartSens. The Xiaomi 16 Ultra can also use this 1-inch primary lens.

Xiaomi’s flagship smartphones used to have cameras from Sony, Samsung, and OmniVision. But it is possible that the Xiaomi 16 Ultra has a SmartSens camera. The 6.73-inch LTPO OLED screen of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a peak brightness level of 3200 nits, a flexible refresh rate of 120 Hz, and 1920 Hz PWM dimming. Its display has been protected with Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0. For further security, this smartphone features an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0, which is based on Android 15, powers it. This smartphone’s triple rear camera array features a primary 50-megapixel sensor. For taking selfies and making video calls, it features a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and Adreno 830 GPU are features of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The 5,410mAh battery of this smartphone supports both 80 W wireless and 90 W wired rapid charging. Approximately 4.18 crore smartphones were shipped internationally by Xiaomi between January and March. The company has seen an increase in smartphone shipments year over year for the sixth consecutive quarter. At over Rs 59,961 crore, the company’s smartphone division’s income has grown by roughly 8.9 percent yearly. The average selling price (ASP) of Xiaomi smartphones rose to Rs 14,372 during the first quarter. This serves as a company record.
