WhatsApp’s Cool New Update : Thousands of messages continuously flood the screen with WhatsApp day by day and then, at the end of a tiring day work, where one will mute all the chats one by one-this definitely proves that WhatsApp has something new for its users through this test feature:
Through this latest test feature, there will be an option within WhatsApp for the capability to silence a series of chats in just one tap, instead of opening every chat one by one to mute each of them, with one pressed and held either “Unread”, “Favorites” or “Groups” in order for the mini-menu to pop up. It allows to mute all those chats in one go.
This one would indeed bail out someone with multiple group chats on their phone, or alternatively, someone who receives a good amount of messages daily but doesn’t really have too much time in their busy working schedule to read it now or just want a short break without having to listen to those buzzing conversations all around, definitely wouldn’t have to do that tiring work of muting each chat. Takes no more than a couple of seconds to mute a complete list.
This is currently present in beta testing on WhatsApp Beta for Android, version 2.25.17.27, so not all Tom, Dick, and Harry can use it. However, if the tests end up going according to plan, this will soon be available to the masses before long.
This mini update does present a little bit towards user control as far as notifications go. It does very well in keeping one sane amidst all the hustle-bustle of work or away from the noise when there sets a time when it really demands silence. Indeed, no matter what happened, no messages would be lost, but at least, the ghastly sound would not be waking everybody now and then.
This does seem quite apt for WhatsApp, as it is actually proving to really silence the users. Imagine being bombarded non-stop by one message after another; it would be probably quite a relief to have such mute feature.
You are probably creating a lot of noise just because you are tuning in your WhatsApp updates, and this might just be the silence you are looking for.
