The most talked about complaint was that GPT-5 feels less intelligent and less responsive than before. Instead of long, detailed and personalised answers, it is now giving short and formal answers. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman admitted that the launch of GPT-5 was “a bit bumpy”. He said that due to problems in the model router, users were getting weaker output than expected. Altman assured that from now on GPT-5 will seem “smarter” and the company will also work on making it clear to the users which model is answering them.
The return of GPT-4o
After tremendous pressure from users, OpenAI decided that GPT-4o will be made available again to ChatGPT Plus subscribers. The company will see how the users respond to its return, and then decide how long to keep it.
