TikTok India Ban Update :Recently, social media was abuzz with the rumor that TikTok was again going to return to India. Some internet users boasted that they had opened Access to the TikTok site and had tried to log into it. This added fuel to the curiosity fire as to whether the app is going to see a reincarnation in India. But is that true, or just a rumor? Let’s get to know the whole truth behind this news.
What was the reason seeing the opening of the TikTok site?
Over the past few days, several Indian users discovered that the website had been opening to them, making them think the app has just opened. In reality, it was not so. It was simply a technical glitch. Some mistake at the level of Internet Service Providers (ISP) allowed the access of the website for a while. It absolutely does not mean that TikTok has restored its services.

What statement did the company give?
The parent company ByteDance of TikTok released an official statement regarding the matter. The company clarified that they have not re-launched TikTok in India, still abiding by the ban from the Government of India. No decision has been made to restore the app.
What do stands on this here?
Officials from MeitY gave a statement on this issue, too. They stated that TikTok continues to be banned; there have been no fresh orders from the government to unblock the application. It has been made clear that such rumors surrounding the re-introduction of the app are completely false and misleading.

Application TikTok current status
If for a while, the site opened, the status of the TikTok app remained unchanged.
Currently, the application is not downloading the ticker from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Users cannot watch videos or create new accounts.
Many received the message while trying to log in: “TikTok is banned in India and we are working on it.”
What we understand from the news of TikTok’s return?
This proves that almost instantaneously such technical snafus create viral spreading of false rumors. After all, it can easily become viral news on social media, but one needs always to trust the official statement. This was one of those misunderstandings dragged into the news about the return of TikTok and denied by company and government.
