Triple Camera Phones: Selecting a robust phone with an awesome display, jaw-dropping cameras, and long battery life has never been more perplexing. With each month witnessing new launches and updates arriving sooner than anticipated, three phones, Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, and Nothing Phone 3a stepped into the limelight in June. All three have something unique to offer in appearance, features, and price tag. So, which one to choose now?

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE

Samsung has opted for its own Exynos 2400e processor here, coupled with 8GB of RAM. The performance is silky smooth and quick, particularly for routine activities. The 6.7-inch AMOLED display comes with HDR10+ and a peak brightness level of 1900 nits, although the resolution and sharpness are merely average. Better protection is provided by Gorilla Glass Victus+, but the overall build feels rather heavy at 213g.

You have a triple rear camera arrangement with 50MP, 12MP, and 8MP sensors, OIS, and 8K video support. The front 10MP camera is underwhelming for this segment. The smartphone has a 4700mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. There’s also reverse wireless charging. There is no memory card slot and no headphone jack.

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion

This phone is all about a high-quality display and silky smooth visuals. It features a pOLED curved screen with high resolution and up to 4500 nits peak brightness, which is perfect for use outdoors. HDR10+ and Pantone-validated true colors make the screen feel luxurious. It’s light at 180.1g and has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

Powered by the Dimensity 7400 chip and backed by 8GB RAM (plus 8GB virtual RAM), it performs steadily. The 50MP+13MP rear cameras offer OIS and decent results, while the 32MP selfie camera delivers clear shots. A big 5500mAh battery supports 68W fast charging and reverse charging. There’s even room for a hybrid SD card slot that supports up to 1 TB.

Nothing Phone 3a

Nothing’s newest offering maintains the brand’s unique look with decent mid-tier performance. It features a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with decent brightness levels and silky-smooth images owing to the 120Hz refresh rate. But at 1080p resolution, it is marginally lower, and the pixel density is not so strong.

Under the hood is a Snapdragon 7s Gen3 chip with 8GB of RAM. There is storage just up to 128GB without a card slot. The phone has a heavy body of 201g but offers a triple rear camera setup with two 50MP lenses and an 8MP sensor. The 32MP front snapper gets the job done for selfies. A 5000mAh battery powers the phone with 50W fast charging and some reverse charging support.

Final Verdict

Samsung gets the power and wireless features right, but its size and camera options may seem behind the times. Motorola is different with an improved display and charging speed, all in a smaller package. Nothing Phone 3a does everything in moderation but doesn’t excel in anything in particular. For display and design, Motorola is the winner. But if wireless charging and reliability are more important, Samsung is the better gamble.
