Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is in development and is expected to make its formal debut in the second half of this year. Rumor had it that the new Fan Edition smartphone would be powered by the same Exynos 2400e processor as the Galaxy S24 FE from the previous year. But according to a recent leak, the Galaxy S25 FE will have a major processor improvement over its predecessor. It is probable that the upcoming FE phone will be a more subdued version of the Galaxy S25.

It is Possible That the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Will Come with a MediaTek Chipset

According to NoteBookCheck, which cites anonymous sources, Samsung may incorporate the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset into the Galaxy S25 FE. According to reports, Samsung would prioritize the Exynos 2400e for the Galaxy S25 FE, but if Samsung Foundry is unable to satisfy the Exynos chips’ production demands, the company may resort to a MediaTek chipset as a backup.

The final choice will probably change based on the state of the market. On paper, the Dimensity 9400 processor from MediaTek seems to be better than the Exynos 2400e. In order to support Samsung Foundry’s operations and avoid the higher costs associated with the TSMC-produced Dimensity 9400, the brand is probably going to favor its proprietary chipset.

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 FE from the previous year had the Exynos 2400e CPU. It was previously rumored that the company would use the same processor in the forthcoming FE model, skipping the chipset change completely this year. The Exynos 2400e was reportedly used by the Galaxy Z Flip FE in addition to the Galaxy S25 FE.

As per reports, the Galaxy S25 FE will be available at the end of Q3 2025 or at the start of the fourth quarter. Given that the original Galaxy S25 had a specially designed Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chips, it is most likely an altered model of that device.

In September 2024, Samsung released the Galaxy S24 FE, which retailed for Rs. 59,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixel) Dynamic AMOLED screen, and up to 512GB of onboard storage in addition to 8GB of RAM. A 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 10-megapixel selfie camera are at the forefront of its triple back camera array. It has a 4,700mAh battery that can be charged via 25W cable.
