Galaxy Buds Core: Samsung has officially announced that Galaxy Buds Core will go on sale in India on June 27th. The new true wireless earbuds are tipped as a successor to the Galaxy Buds FE with significant improvements in build, battery, and feature set. This is just days ahead of the Galaxy M36 smartphone launch on the same date. A quick summary of what to expect from the Buds Core follows.

Launch Date and Availability Unveiled

Samsung has officially revealed that Galaxy Buds Core will go on sale in India on June 27th at 12 PM IST. The earbuds will be up for sale on Amazon India. Samsung has also begun teasing the device on its X (formerly Twitter) handle as well as on the Samsung Shop app. Prospective buyers can sign up for sale alerts using the link that has been given in Samsung’s teaser post. We took a glance at the complete spec and hues on offer recently when a fresh listing appeared on Samsung UAE’s website, to be quickly pulled after a few hours.

Design and Colour Options

The Galaxy Buds Core will come in two time-honoured colour options Black and White. They are the standard colours but among the most favourite colours for those who opt for underplayed and neutral style. The earbuds are made as light as possible, which should reduce fatigue after constant wear without harming ears. They are just slightly lighter than their relative, Galaxy Buds FE, which adds to wearing comfort.

Specifications and Audio Features

Audio-wise, the Galaxy Buds Core offers support for AAC, SBC, and Samsung’s Scalable codec. Its Scalable codec is also famous for stable Bluetooth connectivity even when placed in a location with intense Wi-Fi interference. It supported Bluetooth profiles, including A2DP, AVRCP, and HFP, to have wide compatibility with smartphones and other devices. The buds have an IP54 rating for dust and water proofing, a step up from the Buds FE’s IPX2 rating.

Battery Capacity and Charging Life

Each of the earbuds is fitted with a 65mAh battery, and the case uses a 500mAh battery. Samsung predicts that consumers will receive up to 20 hours of usage with ANC turned on and up to 35 hours without ANC. That’s an additional 5 hours of maximum battery life compared to the Buds FE, which hit a maximum of 30 hours. Even with the changes, the earbuds are still light at only 5.3 grams per piece, and the case weighs 31.2 grams.

Do You Need to Wait for the Galaxy Buds Core?

If you want budget ANC earbuds that last longer, get better dust and water resistance, the Galaxy Buds Core is worth a look. The earlier Galaxy Buds FE had cost Rs 9,999 but can be purchased under Rs 5,000 these days. How Samsung prices the Buds Core will decide if they are a competitive product or not, but on paper, they seem to be an improvement.
