Redmi K80 Ultra: After weeks of rumors, Redmi has finally officially revealed its new flagship phone, the Redmi K80 Ultra, and the compact Redmi K Pad tablet. While the company promised both were to land later this month in China, the release date has not been announced yet. With their design now revealed through an open poster, hype is building for their release.

First Glance at the New Design

The design release shows the Redmi K80 Ultra and Redmi K Pad in a beautiful green finish with silky matte texture. The K80 Ultra has a curved camera module resembling the already leaked Redmi K80 and K80 Pro, released in November 2024. The change most readily apparent is the camera island, which accommodates a 50MP dual-camera setup supported by OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).

Redmi K Pad’s Simple and Sleek Design

The Redmi K Pad, however, has a stripped-down aesthetic with a single camera at the rear and an LED flash. Despite its simple appearance, the tablet is set to be a budget offering in the compact gaming tablet segment. It will go up against the iPad Mini 7, Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, and Lenovo Legion Y700 (Gen 4), and is a tablet to watch out for in the second half of 2025.

Powerful Internals Seen on Geekbench

The Redmi K Pad and K80 Ultra were just spotted on Geekbench, and this confirms that they will be powered by the latest Dimensity 9400 Plus processor. The listings also revealed combinations of 16GB RAM and Android 15, indicating high-end performance for gaming, multitasking, and work.

Leaked Specifications Build Expectations

After leaks, the Redmi K80 Ultra reportedly comes with a 6.83-inch LTPS OLED display sporting a clear 1.5K resolution. It will also have a massive 7,500mAh battery, 100W rapid charging support, a metal middle frame that is strong, and IP68 waterproofing and dust resistance. These specs point to a premium, tough phone that is ready to enter the flagship lineup.

Redmi K Pad to Sport High Refresh Rate and Quick Charging

For Redmi K Pad, there will be an 8.8-inch LCD with a 3K screen and a remarkable 165Hz refresh rate, ideal for gamers who enjoy playing games. The tablet will also come with quick charging with 67W, putting it among the quickest charging tablets in its segment.

Expectation Awaits as Launch Approaches

While the launch date is yet to be announced, Redmi fans are waiting with bated breath for the official release. Boasting flagship-grade specifications, clean design, and price-war strategies, the Redmi K80 Ultra and K Pad are shaping up to be two of the most eagerly awaited devices during the second half of 2025.
