Poco C85: Poco has officially launched its latest budget smartphone, the Poco C85, and it is already creating a lot of buzz in the global markets. The India launch date is not confirmed yet, but leaks and official specs have given us a pretty clear idea of what this phone will offer. With a large display, solid performance, and massive battery, this phone is also pocket-friendly in terms of price.
Design & Style
The design of the Poco C85 is quite slim and stylish, with a just 7.99mm thick body. The back panel is quad-curved, which enhances both grip and look. There will be teen color options – Purple, Black and Green – which will definitely attract the youth. With a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C port, the phone gives a modern feel, and a 3.5mm headphone jack is also provided, which is convenient for audio lovers.
Display & Visuals
For screen lovers, the 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display of Poco C85 is quite large and immersive. With 1600 x 720 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, the scrolling and gaming experience is absolutely smooth. The peak brightness is up to 810 nits, meaning the screen will be clearly visible even in the sun. This display is quite impressive in the budget segment.
Performance & Processor
Poco C85 is powered by MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra SoC, which is quite reliable for mid-range performance. Multitasking, social media, and light gaming can be easily handled. There are two options for RAM and storage – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. It is also possible to expand the storage up to 1TB through RAM expansion and microSD slot.
Camera Setup
Poco C85 also has something special for photography enthusiasts. There is a dual-camera setup at the rear – 50MP primary sensor and a secondary auxiliary lens. An 8MP selfie camera is placed in the U-shaped notch at the front. This setup is enough for basic photography and social media. Along with this, you can also charge other devices with 10W reverse wired charging.
Battery & Charging
The biggest highlight is the 6000mAh battery of the phone. It will easily last for a full day or two days. There is also 33W wired fast charging support, which quickly fills the battery. The combo of such a big battery and fast charging is quite impressive in the budget segment.
Software & Features
Poco C85 runs on HyperOS 2, based on Android 15. Connectivity options include 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C and IP64 rating for dust & splash resistance. The slim design, quad-curved back and side-mounted fingerprint sensor give the phone a very premium feel, even in the budget price segment.
Price & Availability
Poco C85 has been launched in the Philippines and pre-orders have started. The 6GB + 128GB variant is available on pre-order at PHP 4799 (approx ₹8,000) and the 8GB + 256GB variant at PHP 5699 (approx ₹9,300). The expected price in India could be around ₹9,000, which will be quite attractive for budget-conscious buyers.
