Google Pixel 10 Series : Every year, Google’s Pixel phones lead the pack when it comes to smartphone cameras. People expect more than just great photos they expect smart, magical features that make Pixel stand out. But with the Pixel 10 series, the excitement seems a bit low. The camera upgrades look minor, with no major hardware changes or mind-blowing new features so far.

It feels like Google is playing it safe this time. Of course, the Pixel 10 will still take solid photos, but if you were hoping for something bold and fresh, you might be left wanting more. Here’s what we know and what we expect.

Google Pixel 10 series camera upgrades

The Google Pixel 10 series is getting some camera changes but they may not be very exciting. As per Hindustan Times, the regular Pixel 10 might get a telephoto camera for the first time.

It could have a 50MP main camera (Samsung GN8), a 13MP ultrawide camera (Sony IMX712), and an 11MP telephoto camera (Samsung 3J1). But here’s the thing these cameras are the same as the ones in the cheaper Pixel 9a. So, it might not be better than the Pixel 9.

The Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL may not get new camera parts either. They are expected to have a 50MP main camera (Samsung GNV), and two 48MP cameras (Sony IMX858) for ultrawide and zoom.

Since the camera hardware isn’t changing much, Google will likely use its new Tensor G5 chip and smart AI tools to make photos look better.

On the other hand, the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL camera features are likely to remain unchanged, with a 50MP Samsung GNV main camera, a 48MP Sony IMX858 ultrawide camera, and a 48MP Sony IMX858 telephoto lens.

For the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, we expect the main camera to get an upgrade with a 50MP Samsung GN8 sensor. Earlier, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold relied on the Sony IMX787 sensor for the main camera.
