According to the latest reports, it is said to feature a 200MP camera.
Furthermore, reports also claim that OnePlus’s upcoming phone could be equipped with a massive 9,000mAh battery. However, a new leak has emerged with information about its camera setup that is completely different from what was previously reported.
Just a few weeks ago, a leaked report claimed that this device would feature a 50MP primary camera. Additionally, it was suggested that a 200MP periscope telephoto lens would also be included. However, a recent report from the Chinese tipster ‘Digital Chat Station’ now suggests something entirely different regarding the camera setup.

Previous reports indicated that the OnePlus 16 smartphone would feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. However, the Chinese tipster ‘Digital Chat Station’ has now shared a post revealing that OnePlus is testing an alternative camera configuration for its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 16.
According to the tipster, this prototype features a primary camera with a large 200-megapixel sensor, paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.

Speaking of other specifications, the OnePlus 16 smartphone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel with 1.5K resolution, an 185Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, the phone is rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. Additionally, claims suggest that the smartphone could be equipped with a massive 9,000mAh battery to ensure robust power backup.
The OnePlus 16 is expected to support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. In the Chinese market, the smartphone may launch running Android 17-based ColorOS 17, while for the global market, it is anticipated to arrive with OxygenOS 17.
The OnePlus brand has not shared any official reports regarding the OnePlus 16 smartphone. That’s why I didn’t completely trust the leak reports.
