OnePlus 15 expected to launch: OnePlus 13 came out in January 2025, but its successor is already making waves online. Rumors in China estimate that the new OnePlus 15 will likely have new screen, improved chipset, and new camera configuration. While the hype just keeps on accumulating, the phone can maintain the same release schedule as its predecessor with potential release on the latter part of the year.
OnePlus 15 Display and Design
According to leaks, the OnePlus 15 also has a flat 6.78-inch LTPO screen that is 1.5K resolution. It is a difference from the curved 2K screen of the OnePlus 13. The display can use the LIPO process to reduce bezels and create a clean, expansive view. The design is reported to resemble the iPhone with a light minimalist design, which will be pleasing to those wanting a minimalist appearance.
OnePlus 15 Performance and Chipset
The OnePlus 15 will be powered by the soon-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip, or SM8850. The new chip is expected to provide class-leading performance, building on the already great Snapdragon 8 Elite powering the OnePlus 13. Specific RAM and storage details are not yet known, but it seems that the emphasis is on providing flag-level performance.
OnePlus 15 Camera Features
There is also a major camera department overhaul in the works. OnePlus 15 is rumored to carry a 50MP rear triple camera module alongside a periscope telephoto sensor. This would improve zoom performance and position the device as a major contender in cellphone photography. Although front camera details remain unknown, the rear module suggests an actual imaging improvement.
OnePlus 15 Expected Launch Timeline
OnePlus 15 needs to follow OnePlus’ typical flagship release cycle. It will come out in China between October or November 2025, and global release, including India, can occur during January of 2026. This needs to be maintained following OnePlus 13 release history, having released in China around October 2024 and then become available in India during January of 2025.
