Motorola Razr Fold: Out of nowhere, Motorola jumps into India’s high-end folding phone race with its new Razr Fold. Not known for book-like folds before, the brand now steps beyond its classic flip-phone roots. Set to arrive on May 13th, this device shows up ready to challenge heavy hitters such as Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7. While Google’s Pixel 10 Pro Fold waits in the wings, Motorola pushes forward with a bold shape and quiet confidence. This isn’t just another update it lands like a shift in direction.

Pricing and Availability

The official Indian price announcement will take place during the upcoming event. The Razr Fold launched in Europe at EUR 1,999 which equals approximately ₹2.14 lakh. The product will launch in India at a price that competes with its market rivals.

  • Release Date: May 13, 2026.
  • The product is available for purchase at Flipkart and Motorola.in and all major retail outlets.
  • The box will contain The Motorola Pen Ultra as part of the bundle.

Display and Productivity Features

The Razr Fold is built for power users who need a tablet-like experience in their pocket. The device consists of a large main display which measures 8.1 inches and uses LTPO 2K OLED technology to display content at a 120Hz refresh rate. The outer screen shows impressive performance with its 6.6-inch panel which offers the highest refresh rate in its class at 165Hz. The two screens enable Pen Ultra usage while the software provides a dedicated “laptop mode” that includes a virtual trackpad and advanced multitasking windows.

Camera and Flagship Performance

Out of the gate, Motorola goes all-in with performance using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. Picture quality? Handled by three solid cameras working together different strengths, one clear purpose

  • Main: 50MP primary sensor with OIS.
  • Secondary: 50MP Ultra-wide lens with macro capabilities.
  • Zoom: Pictures from far away look sharp, thanks to a zoom that triples the reach. Close-ups turn out detailed because of its telephoto design. This lens captures what’s distant without losing clarity.
  • Selfies: Inside the screen, a 20-megapixel camera waits. On the front, snapping shots happens with a 32-megapixel lens. One takes pictures when flipped open. The other works while closed.

Battery and Charging

The Razr Fold delivers its strongest benefit through extended battery performance which outmatches all other competing products. Motorola has incorporated a 6000mAh battery into this device which most foldable devices fail to achieve because they use smaller battery cells. The system provides 80W wired charging together with 50W wireless charging which exceeds the current charging speeds that Samsung and Google provide.

Durability and Software Longevity

The phone contains an IP48/IP49 rating which enables it to withstand both dust and high-pressure water exposure. It begins its software journey with Android 16 and Motorola’s Hello UX. Motorola has established a commitment to provide seven years of operating system updates which will keep the Razr Fold up-to-date until 2033 while providing security protections.
