iPhone Air 2 To Adopt Vapor Chamber Cooling- iPhone Air 2 is the rumoured successor to the slim iPhone Air launched in September 2025. While its existence and launch details are unconfirmed by Apple, recent industry leaks from December 2025 suggest it is currently in development. It is also likely to get a thin chassis, and it may adopt the vapour chamber cooling used in the Pro models.

Earlier, there was a launch timeline conflict, and it was established that it had been removed from Apple’s immediate roadmap entirely, but it is now back on track and is likely to launch in September 2026 with the iPhone 18 Pro series.

Lower Price

Interestingly, Apple iPhone Air 2 is likely to start around ₹1,04,999. Some reports suggest Apple may lower the price from the original model’s ₹1,19,900 starting point to increase customer appeal.

Design & Display

There are indications that iPhone Air 2 may feature an ultra-slim titanium frame, potentially even thinner than the current 5.6mm. It is expected to feature a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate, and it may reach up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, which will provide good visibility in any lighting condition.

Performance

iPhone Air 2 phone is expected to be powered by the Apple A20 Pro chip based on a 2nm process, or an A19 Pro chip. Simultaneously, it is anticipated to get 12GB RAM, and storage options may include 256GB, 512GB, and even 1TB. It may also include an Apple-designed C1X 5G modem, along with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 connectivity.

Camera Setup

Apple is reportedly redesigning the device to include a second rear camera after the original iPhone Air was criticised for having only a single lens. In the rear section of the iPhone Air 2 phone, you can expect a dual camera setup with a 48MP main sensor and a 48MP ultra-wide sensor to fix the single-camera limitation of the first model, whereas in front it is expected to feature an 18MP Centre Stage selfie camera.
