iPhone 17 Pro 5G: Apple fans get ready! Apple has a mega event every year in September, and 2025 will be no different. All eyes are on the iPhone 17 series, especially the iPhone 17 Pro and its power-packed sibling iPhone 17 Pro Max. Apple is always secretive, but according to leaks and trusted sources, there are some big upgrades coming this time – a design refresh, a major upgrade to the camera, and an ultra-fast processor. These phones could be a real game-changer for Apple fans.

iPhone 17 Release Date
As per Apple’s tradition, the event will take place in the second week of September. According to insider Mark Gurman, the launch of the iPhone 17 Pro could take place on 9 or 10 September 2025. Pre-orders may start from 12 September and the phone will be available in India from 19 September. Meaning, Indian fans will not have to wait long.
iPhone 17 Price in India
The question of price is always there. iPhone 17 Pro is a premium range device, and the price for the base model 128GB can be between ₹1,29,999 – ₹1,45,000. If you want more storage like 256GB or 1TB, then the price can go up to ₹1,75,000.
The price for the iPhone 17 Pro Max will be even higher, starting at ₹1,60,000 and can go up to ₹1,65,000+ for more storage. But considering Apple’s technology, design and experience, every penny will be worth it.
Powering the iPhone 17 Pro: The A19 Pro Chip
This time the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will get Apple’s new A19 Pro chipset, which may be made on a 3nm or 2nm process. Meaning it will be faster and more power-efficient than before. This chip will also support Apple’s new “Apple Intelligence” features, which will make the device even smarter.
RAM is also getting upgraded – 12GB RAM in both models, which will make multitasking and AI features run smoothly. Vapor Chamber Cooling System can also come along with it, so that the phone does not feel hot during heavy usage.
Display & Design
The display of iPhone 17 Pro is 6.3-inch OLED and Pro Max has 6.9-inch OLED. Both will get ProMotion 120Hz refresh rate, which makes scrolling and visual experience ultra smooth. Resolution will come with 1206 x 2622 pixels and HDR10+ plus Dolby Vision support, meaning the fun of videos and gaming will be next level.
There is a big change in the design too – now instead of the square camera bump, there will be a visor-style horizontal camera bar, which will spread across the width of the phone and will match in the same color. The Dynamic Island can be smaller and Metallens technology can be used for Face ID. The frame will have a combination of aluminum or half-aluminum half-glass, which balances weight and durability. MagSafe wireless charging support will remain the same, and along with the new Orange-Copper color, Black, White, Gray and Dark Blue options will also be available.
Camera Upgrades
The camera is quite next-level! Both phones will get triple 48MP rear camera setup – wide, ultra-wide and telephoto – all 48MP. The telephoto lens being 48MP is a big jump, now 3.5x optical zoom and up to 5x digital crop will be possible. The front camera is also getting upgraded to 24MP, perfect for selfies and video calls.
Pro models can also get 8K video recording and dual video recording feature – you can record with front and back camera together, a boon for content creators. TOF 3D LiDAR scanner will enhance low-light and AR experience.
Software & Connectivity
iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will come with iOS 26. New features, Apple Intelligence integration and “liquid glass” like UI design will make the phone look and feel modern and smooth. Internet speed and stable connection will be available with Wi-Fi 7 support. The port will remain USB-C, but it may be a faster version so that file transfer and charging is faster. Battery details are not exact, but with the A19 Pro and efficient system, better backup and maybe 33W charging will also be available.
