Huawei Pura 80: Pr0 Huawei recently held a big launch event in China, in which the company introduced its Nova 14 series and the first foldable PC. But now all eyes are on the company’s next big project, which is the Pura 80 series. There have been many leaks regarding this new series, which states that it will come in three models – standard Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, and top level Pura 80 Ultra. The special thing is that Huawei can use its own custom image sensor in the Pura 80 Pro model, which will prove to be a big change for the company.
Huawei Pura 80 Pro will have SmartSens custom image sensor
According to a new report from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the Pura 80 Pro will have Huawei’s custom-developed SmartSens SC5A0CS sensor. This sensor is 50 megapixels and is based on 1-inch RYYB technology. This change is different from the earlier leak, where it was said that the Pura 80 Pro will have Sony’s IMX989 sensor. Huawei is reported to have tested engineering models with this Sony sensor a few months ago, but now they have decided to replace this sensor while finalizing the final hardware.
If there is no change in the camera setup except the main sensor, then its rear camera will include a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto macro camera. According to reports, all three camera sensors will use a custom RYYB color filter, which increases light intake by up to 40 percent to improve photo quality in low light. This will make this camera setup of Huawei perform better especially in low-light photography.
Display and other features
Apart from the camera hardware, the Huawei Pura 80 Pro is expected to get a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1.5K. Also, it will support LTPO technology, which can handle variable refresh rate. This will give the user a smooth visual experience and also improve battery efficiency. This feature will prove to be especially useful during gaming and video streaming.
Launch possibility and market entry
The Huawei Pura 80 series is expected to be launched in the second quarter of this year. This series is very important for the company as Huawei wants to take its camera technology to new heights. Using its own sensor away from Sony is considered a big step towards the company’s technological independence and innovation. Both users and tech experts are eagerly waiting for the launch of this series as Huawei has always been in the news for the camera and display of its flagship phone.
In this way, the Huawei Pura 80 Pro will not only bring changes in the camera hardware but will also try to take the company’s image to a new level in the smartphone market. Its custom camera sensor and advanced display features will make it stand strongly in the category of competitive smartphones.
