Huawei Pura 80 Pro: Huawei has officially opened reservations for its much-anticipated Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Pro+ smartphones ahead of their June 11 launch event in China. This is in line with the brand’s strategy of building early hype by allowing pre-launch sign-ups. The devices are now listed on Huawei’s official VMall online store, and within hours, the reservation count has already crossed 34,000 combined for both Pro models.
Pre-Orders Begin on Huawei’s VMall Platform
From June 5, interested users can pre-reserve the Pura 80 Pro and Pro+ on Huawei’s VMall, even before full specifications and prices have been revealed. These models are two out of the expected four devices in the Pura 80 lineup. The high number of early reservations shows strong consumer interest, even in the absence of complete details about features and design.
Iconic Triangular Camera Design Returns
A promotional image on the reservation page provides a sneak peek at the Pura 80 series’ design. The red-finished device shown in the teaser likely represents the base Pura 80 model, showcasing Huawei’s distinctive triangular camera module. The camera setup includes XMAGE branding, indicating that photography will remain a major highlight of the lineup.
Four Variants Expected, But Not All at Once
The entire Pura 80 series will likely consist of four models: the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, Pura 80 Pro+, and the flagship Pura 80 Ultra. But according to reports, the Ultra and base variants might not come out at the same time as the Pro models. Huawei may space out the releases so that there is continuous momentum and more targeted marketing for each model.
Camera and Hardware Upgrades on the Pro+
Leaks surrounding the Pura 80 Pro+ have already emerged, specifically coming from a reliable tipster, Digital Chat Station. The Pro+ variant is said to be equipped with a high-performance 50MP triple-camera setup, boosted by an expansive sensor and a multispectral sensor. The Pro+ is also said to have a slender curved metal frame and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
First Flagship Series With HarmonyOS 5
The entire Pura 80 lineup will debut with HarmonyOS 5, making it Huawei’s first mainstream flagship series to launch with this new version out of the box. Since its initial release in March, HarmonyOS 5 has received multiple updates aimed at improving user privacy, smoother animations, and stronger ecosystem integration with Huawei’s connected devices.
Countdown to Launch Begins
While most of the details remain shrouded in mystery, the fans won’t have to wait long. The official launch of the Huawei Pura 80 series will take place on June 11. With increasing hype and initial interest already skyrocketing, Huawei appears well set to make a big statement in the flagship space again.
