Honor Magic V Flip 2: Honor has created a stir in the clamshell foldable market by launching its new foldable smartphone Honor Magic V Flip 2. The phone has just been officially unveiled in China and both its design and specifications prove that it is a much more powerful and stylish upgrade over its older models. The biggest thing is that this phone has broken records in quite a few categories – especially in camera and battery.
The most hype is about the camera setup. Honor Magic V Flip 2 has become the world’s first flip-style foldable phone in which you get a massive 200MP primary camera sensor. Earlier flip phones used to have 50MP sensors at the most, but this time Honor has left the competition completely behind. It has a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP front-facing camera, which makes it an absolutely great option for selfies and content creation. Meaning this phone is a complete package for photography lovers.
Honor has surprised everyone in the battery section as well. Flip-style foldable phones always had a small battery, like Samsung Galaxy Z Flip or Motorola Razr which have a capacity of around 4000-4300mAh. But the Magic V Flip 2 has a 5,500mAh Qinghai Lake silicon-carbon battery, which is the largest in any flip phone till now. It also supports 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging, meaning both battery backup and charging speed will be great.
This phone is also of flagship level in terms of performance. It has Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset which easily handles gaming, multitasking and AI features. Honor has also made the display very premium. On the outside, a 4.0-inch LTPO OLED cover screen has been given which comes with 120Hz refresh rate and 3600 nits brightness. This big cover display is so functional that it will be enough without opening the phone. The foldable display inside is even better – a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED panel that comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and 5000 nits peak brightness, meaning it delivers an absolutely cinematic experience.
It is priced at 5,499 Yuan in China for the base variant which is approximately ₹66,900, and the high-end variant comes for 7,499 Yuan with up to 1TB storage option. The official launch date for India has not been confirmed yet, but going by the leaks, it could be priced around ₹59,999. Overall, the Honor Magic V Flip 2 is an absolutely next-level foldable phone that sets new standards in the foldable segment with its camera, battery, and display.
