Galaxy S25 FE: There have been long-running chipset rumors about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 FE. Some reports said that the phone could come with the Exynos 2400e or MediaTek Dimensity 9400. But a recent Geekbench listing has made it clear that the Galaxy S25 FE will get the Exynos 2400 processor, which was also in the Galaxy S24 and S24+. This chipset is 10-core, consisting of Cortex-X4, Cortex-A720, and Cortex-A520 cores.

Minor differences between Exynos 2400 and 2400e

The main difference between the Exynos 2400 and 2400e is that the prime core of the 2400e is slightly lower clocked (3.11GHz), while the prime core of the Exynos 2400 runs at 3.2GHz. The Galaxy S25 FE has shown almost the same score on Geekbench 6 as the S24 FE, which suggests that there will be no major hardware upgrade this time.

Performance and software role

Although new software optimizations like One UI 8 may provide some better performance, the S24 FE will also get this update soon. Therefore, there will not be much difference between the two phones in real life. For gaming, this chip also has Xclipse 940 GPU and ray-tracing support, which is capable of giving a good gaming experience. But the system demand is also increasing for image processing, system animation and everyday use.

Other specifications and launch timeline

The rest of the specifications of the Galaxy S25 FE will also remain the same as the S24 FE, such as display resolution and camera setup. The phone is expected to launch in September or October 2025. Software optimization may give it some edge in the initial months, but in the end it will be at par with the S24 FE. There is no clarity on the price yet, but it will be interesting to see if Samsung keeps it cheaper than its previous model.
