The 15-digit IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number is exclusive to each mobile phone. You may check if your phone is authentic by using the Sanchar Saathi portal. Let us take a step by step look at it.

First, go to https://sancharsaathi.gov.in, the Sanchar Saathi webpage.

Next, on the homepage, select ‘Citizen Centric Services’.

The ‘Know Your Mobile (KYM)/IMEI Verification’ option should be selected.

To get an OTP, enter your mobile number and the captcha.

To continue, send in the OTP.

Enter the 15-digit IMEI number of the smartphone.

Next, select the “Submit” option.

Information on the device’s manufacturer, model, brand, and condition will be shown once the process is finished.

To confirm the device’s legitimacy, you can also download the Communications Partner mobile app from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Enter *#06# on your phone to get its IMEI number.
