Richa Chadha Death Scene in Heeramandi: Do you remember last year’s most talked about web series ‘Heeramandi’? This grand presentation of Sanjay Leela Bhansali created a stir as soon as it came. Many veteran actresses of Bollywood were seen in it, and one of them was our strong actress Richa Chadha. Richa’s husband and well-known actor Ali Fazal often never gets tired of praising Richa’s acting in ‘Heeramandi’. But, recently Ali Fazal has told such an incident, after hearing which you too will say, “Wow!”
When Ali Fazal also got emotional after watching Richa’s ‘death scene’
You will be surprised to know that not only Ali Fazal, but Bollywood’s evergreen beauty Rekha ji herself got emotional after watching a special scene of Richa Chadha in ‘Heeramandi’! In an exclusive interview with Galatta Plus, Ali Fazal said, “It was amazing! I was a fan! It was very interesting, I was at the premiere where they were showing two episodes (of the series). And coincidentally, her (Richa’s) character ends in the same episode. I was already teary-eyed. I thought, okay, maybe this is my affinity.”
Rekha ji gave Richa the biggest compliment!
Ali Fazal further said, “I looked to my right, and believe me, Rekha ji had tears in her eyes too! She gave Richa the best compliment. She said, ‘You reminded us of our times.’ I still remember that she said exactly that.” Isn’t it an amazing story? It is really a big thing for a veteran actress like Rekha ji to be so impressed by Richa’s acting!
What was that heart-touching scene?
If you have watched ‘Heeramandi’, then you must remember Richa Chadha’s character ‘Lajjo’. Lajjo plays the role of a sex worker who falls in love with Adhyayan Suman’s character. When Adhyayan’s character rejects Lajjo’s love, Lajjo gets addicted to alcohol. There is a very touching scene in the second episode of the series, where Lajjo gives a performance in front of Adhyayan Suman’s friends and guests at a party. While returning from there, Lajjo dies of grief and helplessness. This scene was so impressive that it brought tears to the eyes of the audience.
