You must have heard about Ahalya in the stories of the Puranas, right? She was Vishwa Sundari, who was married to Gautam Rishi. The story is that once Devraj Indra went to her in the guise of Gautam Rishi. When Rishi Gautam learned about this, in rage, he cursed his wife Ahalya to turn into stone.
