Ananya Panday Faces Heat as ‘Saat Samundar Paar’ – Kartik Aaryan-Ananya Panday Trolled: Remaking old songs is a hot trend in Bollywood these days, but sometimes this strategy backfires. Something similar has happened with Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s upcoming film, “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.” The film’s new song, “Saat Samandar Paar 2.0,” was released, but instead of pleasing fans, it has angered them.
Iconic 90s song gets a “lo-fi” twist
The song “Saat Samandar Paar,” filmed on Divya Bharti in the 90s blockbuster film “Vishwatma,” is still the life of every party. The original song was written by Anand Bakshi. However, in the new film, this high-energy track has been presented in a “slow and lo-fi” version.
The singer and composer of the new version is Karan Nanwani. He’s also made some changes to the lyrics, but social media users aren’t exactly liking this new experiment. Social media is awash with memes: “This isn’t Saat Samandar, it’s Sad Samandar!” As soon as the song was released, the song’s trolling became more talked about than Kartik and Ananya’s chemistry. Twitter users expressed their anger like this:
Panchayat Tadka: One user shared a famous meme of the Pradhan from “Panchayat 4” and wrote, “Shame on you, father-in-law… what have you made! Another user, getting emotional, wrote, “Whoever remade this iconic song, I’ll curse you. This isn’t Saat Samandar, it’s Sad Samandar.” Most fans say the slow version has destroyed the song’s original vibe.
When will the film release?
Amidst trolls and criticism, the film’s team is hopeful that Kartik and Ananya’s pairing will draw audiences to theaters. A romantic drama, “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri,” is set to release on December 25th this year, coinciding with Christmas.
