Let’s see which 10 shows and films were the most watched in India from January to June 2025.
Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins
Let’s start this list with ‘Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins’. This film of Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat came on Netflix and it was watched more than 1.31 crore times.
Chidiya Ud
At number nine is Jackie Shroff’s explosive web series ‘Chidiya Ud’. The story of a young girl who fights against prostitution in Mumbai. It was watched 1.37 crore times on MX Player.
The Secret of the Shielders
The Secret of the Shielders, full of suspense and thriller, also received a lot of praise. This Jio Hotstar series by Rajeev Khandelwal was watched by 1.45 crore people.
The Royals
The pair of Ishaan Khattar and Bhumi Pednekar did wonders in ‘The Royals’. This web series on Netflix was watched more than 1.55 crore times.
The Legend of Hanuman Season 6
This animated series based on mythology was a hit this time as well, like every time. The sixth season of ‘The Legend of Hanuman’ was watched 1.62 crore times on Jio Hotstar.
Squid Game Season 3
The third season of ‘Squid Game’, which was a hit all over the world, was also well liked in India. It was watched 1.65 crore times on Netflix, which shows that its craze is still intact.
Paatal Lok Season 2
Jaideep Ahlawat once again became famous as Hathi Ram Chaudhary. The second season of ‘Paatal Lok’ came on Amazon Prime Video and it was viewed 1.68 crore times.
Panchayat Season 4
The fourth season of the audience’s favorite web series ‘Panchayat’ became popular as soon as it came. This series streamed on Amazon Prime Video was viewed 2.38 crore times.
Ek Badnaam Ashram Season 3 Part 2
The magic of Bobby Deol’s Ashram series continues. The third season of ‘Ek Badnaam Ashram’, which came on MX Player, was viewed 2.71 crore times and it remained at number two.
Criminal Justice: A Family Matter
And now it is the turn of the biggest winner. Pankaj Tripathi’s ‘Criminal Justice: A Family Matter’ broke all records. Like his previous seasons, this time too Pankaj Tripathi won the hearts of the audience as lawyer Madhav Mishra. The series was watched 2.77 crore times on Jio Hotstar and with this it became the most watched series of the first 6 months of 2025.
