Age Relaxation in UP Police Recruitment: The application process for the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable recruitment is currently underway. Amidst the application process, the Yogi government has announced a major relief for the youth of Uttar Pradesh. This announcement has brought immense joy to many young people.
The government has announced a 3-year age relaxation for direct recruitment in the UP Police and Jail Department. This relaxation will apply to the posts of Constable, PAC, Special Security Force, Women’s Battalion, and Jail Warder. The decision to grant age relaxation to all categories has been taken for a total of 32,679 posts in the UP Police recruitment.

The state government’s decision to grant a 3-year age relaxation is considered to be in the best interest of the candidates. Candidate organisations had been continuously demanding an increase in the age limit for recruitment.
Number of Vacancies
The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has issued a notification for the recruitment of over 32,000 posts. The application process for this began on December 31, 2025. The vacancies include posts in the Civil Police, PAC, Special Security Force, Women’s Battalion, Mounted Police, and Jail Warder.

Additionally, 10,469 posts are available for both male and female candidates in the Civil Police. There are 15,131 vacancies for men in the PAC. 1341 posts are vacant for male candidates in the UP SSF, which will be filled through this recruitment drive.
Application Fee
The application fee for the UP Police recruitment is Rs. 500 for General, EWS, and Other Backwards Classes. The fee for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is Rs. 400.
