UP Lekhpal Notification 2025: The notification for UP Lekhpal recruitment 2025 has been released. Candidates appearing in PET 2025 will be eligible. Candidates can apply from December 29th on upsssc.gov.in, and the last date for application is January 28, 2026. Amendments can be made until February 4th. Candidates who have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025 – UPSSSC PET 2025) will be eligible for this recruitment. Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the PET-2025 score. The total number of Lekhpal posts is 4,165 for the unreserved category, 1,446 for Scheduled Castes, 150 for Scheduled Tribes, 1,441 for Other Backward Classes, and 792 for EWS.
What should be the eligibility for UP Lekhpal recruitment?
Candidates who have passed the Intermediate examination of the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education or an equivalent examination from a recognised board will be eligible.
Shortlisting will be done based on the UP PET 2025 score
Only candidates who appeared in PET-2025 and whose scorecards have been issued by the commission are eligible to apply for the Lekhpal recruitment. Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the PET-2025 score. Candidates who have obtained zero or negative marks will not be shortlisted.
What should be the age limit?
The age limit for recruitment is 18 to 40 years. Relaxation in the age limit will be given to the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, and other such categories. Category-wise details of vacancies:
