UGC NET 2026: The deadline to apply for the UGC NET examination has been extended. Candidates can now fill out their forms until May 23. Applicants can apply through the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

UGC NET 2026:— Big news has emerged for candidates intending to appear for the NTA UGC NET examination. The NTA has extended the deadline for UGC NET registration. Candidates who wish to appear for the UGC NET Exam but were unable to apply for it for any reason can now submit their applications until May 23. The final date for submitting applications has been extended to May 23. Consequently, candidates now have a 3-day window to apply.

Form Correction Window
According to the official notification issued by the NTA, candidates can make corrections to their application forms between May 25 and May 27.

When will the Exam be held?
The UGC NET examination is scheduled to be conducted from June 22 to June 30. To appear for the examination, candidates must pay a registration fee. The registration fee has been fixed at ₹1,150 for candidates belonging to the Unreserved category, ₹600 for OBC and EWS candidates, and ₹325 for SC and ST candidates.

How to Download the Admit Card

* First, visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
* Click on the ‘Admit Card’ section located on the website’s homepage.
* Enter your login details.
* Once the login details have been entered, the admit card will appear on your screen.
* Finally, take a printout of the admit card for future reference.

How to Apply UGC NET 2026

First, visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Click on the link titled “Opening of Online Application form of UGC-NET June 2026 examination.”
Carefully enter all the required details.
upload scanned copies of the necessary documents.
Now, pay the registration fee.
Finally, take a printout of the application form.

Application Fee:
General Category – ₹1150
EWS and OBC NCL Category – ₹600
SC, ST, Persons with Disabilities Category – ₹325

When can corrections be made?
Candidates who have made any mistakes while filling out the UGC NET form will be given the opportunity to make corrections by the NTA. The correction window will be open from May 22nd to 24th.
